Using Dish Soap And Cornstarch To Make Slime

  1. Add a good quantity of dish soap and cornstarch to make more slime. Consider using some colored or scented dish soap. Use green dish soap for a more traditional slime. You can use shampoo instead of dish soap.  
  2. You can add some food coloring or glitter if you want to. It will make your slime more engaging. Add a drop of food coloring if you used clear dish soap. Add a pinch of glitter if you want sparkly slime. 
  3. Stir everything together with a spoon.
  4. After that, add 2 tablespoons of cornstarch into a mixing bowl. This will make the dish soap paste thick and turn it into slime. You will need to use more cornstarch If you used more dish soap. Use cornflour instead, if you can’t find cornstarch.
  5. Keep stirring the paste for about 10 seconds. The dish soap and cornstarch will come together and react to form slime as you stir.
  6. Lastly, knead the slime by hand. The dish soap will pick up all the cornstarch. Once that happens, dig in with your hands and start kneading it with your fingers until everything is completely mixed. Add more cornstarch, If the slime is too runny. Moreover, If the slime is too thick, add more dish soap.

Plan on using 1 part yogurt and 3 parts cornstarch.
  2. If you want to make your slime look more interesting, add some food coloring. Add in a drop or two of food coloring, then stir it in with a spoon.
  3. Add 3 tablespoons of cornstarch. The cornstarch will cause the yogurt to thicken up and turn to slime. You will need to use 3 times the amount of cornstarch If you used more yogurt. Use cornflour instead, if you can’t find cornstarch.
  4. You can start kneading it by hand once the ingredients start to leave the sides of the bowl. Keep stirring and kneading until the ingredients come together and form a glob of slime.

  •  If it doesn’t work, throw the slime away. It will clog the drain If you pour it down the drain.
  •  When you are not playing with slime, keep it in an airtight container.
  • You can add some warm water and continue to knead it with your hands if you would like to make your slime more sticky.
  • Be careful, don’t let the slime get on your carpet or clothes.
  • You can also make slime with 1 cup (0.24 liters) of flour and 2 spoons of brown sugar; mix it, then add in a little water and keep mixing it till it is the right consistency. Let it freeze until you think it is perfect.
  • If you’re looking for a version with things you might have in your bathroom, just use shampoo, lotion, toothpaste, and salt. Let it freeze for about 45-60 minutes.
